Erioneuron pulchellum

Perennial, warm, native, poor grazing for wildlife and livestock. 2-6" tall, low tufted grass with slender rough stems consisting of 1 long internode that bears a fascile of narrow leaves that takes root and produces a separate plant. The leaves are short, rough and sharp-pointed. The panicle usually does not exceed the length of the leaves and contains 1-5 nearly sessile large woolly spikelets. The glumes are awned. Fluffgrass grows widely on the more arid range sites of West Texas. Areas 7, 8, 9, 10.
   
HAIRY TRIDENS
Erioneuron pilosum

Perennial, warm, native, poor grazing for wildlife and livestock. 4-12" tall, with erect, slender, not branched stems. The blades are short, narrow, fuzzy, with a white margin but gray-green in color. The short, dense, club-shaped panicles are purple to white in color. Lemmas and paleas have distinct fuzzy, soft, white hair. Grows on dry, gravelly soil and invades over- grazed areas. Areas 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
