Leptoloma cognatum

Perennial, warm, native, fair grazing for wildlife and livestock. 1-2 1/2' tall with stems freely branching and felty pubescent below. The short, rigid, flat blades have white edges. One edge is often crinkled. The inflorescence resembles a lovegrass, but single fuzzy seed are home at the end of short branches. Seed head breaks off at maturity forming tumbleweeds. Grows on dry rocky or sandy soil. Areas 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.

Leptochloa dubia

Perennial, warm, native, fair grazing for wildlife, good grazing for livestock. 1-3' tall stems with flat base and flat sheaths. The stems are wiry with slightly rough leaves. Large green sprangled panicle is composed of 5-12 spikes. Inflorescence is finally drooping and pale after maturity. The spikelets are overlapping on short pedicels and 4-8 flowered. Grows on rocky hills and canyons. A good grass to include in native grass mixture when seeding overused ranges. A verv palatable grass. Areas 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
