WHITE TRIDENS
Tridens albescens

Perennial, warrn, native, fair grazing for wildlife and livestock. 1-3' tall, erect stems growing from a whitish to purplish base. The panicle is dense, greenish or purplish to white, narrow, with 8-12 flowered spikelets. The glumes are nearly equal, 3 1/2-4 mm. Grows on prairies especially along ditches; often has a sour odor. Areas 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.

Digitaria californica

Perennial, warm, native, fair grazing for wildlife, good grazing for livestock. 1-4' tall, with hard, round stems growing from a knotty, swollen, felty, hairy base. The leaves are 3-5" long and flat that do not clasp the stem firmly. The panicle is 2-5" long with white, purplish hairs exceeding the spikelets in length, giving the entire seed head a cottony appearance. It is palatable throughout the year and is frequently overgrazed. It grows on a wide variety of soils and responds to deferment. Areas 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
