| Mission
|
The Texas Field and Stream Program seeks to educate youth and adult leaders
about hunting, angling, outdoor skills, and the responsible stewardship of the
natural resources of Texas.
|
|
| Establishment |
The Texas Agricultural Extension Service and the Texas Parks and Wildlife
Department established the cooperative Texas Field and Stream Program in 1995.
The program received federal grant money from the Pittman-Robertson Act and the Dingle-Johnson Act (Sportfish and Wildlife Restoration Program).
|
|
| Goals |
The Texas Field and Stream Program seeks to expand adult leader training and
youth activity in hunting, angling and the outdoors. Advanced training
opportunities and certifications are available to agency personnel, volunteers,
and youth in hunter and aquatic education program initiatives. The Texas Field
and Stream Program provides support to adult leaders through innovative
teaching techniques, lesson plans, information, resource and reference lists, and
